ObamaCare Cries “Uncle”: With Implementation In Shambles, Administration Delays Employer Mandate Until After Midterms
-
A week after Nancy Pelosi called ObamaCare’s implementation “fabulous,” the Obama administration finally admitted it’s really the “train wreck” the rest of the country knew it to be.
-
A delay simply isn’t good enough. It’s time for the Obama administration to stop playing politics and repeal this law once and for all.
-
The politics of this couldn’t be clearer: The President is trying to delay implementation of ObamaCare because he knows it will cost Democrats seats in the House in 2014. Yesterday’s postponement doesn’t take Obamacare off the table, it’s another example of the table being set for Republican victories next year.
Nancy Pelosi: The Implementation Of ObamaCare Is “Fabulous.” “‘The implementation of this is fabulous,’ Pelosi said.” (Paige Winfield Cunningham And Jennifer Haberkorn, “Dems To Kathleen Sebelius: Seniors Confused On Obamacare,” Politico, 6/27/13)
The Obama Administration Delayed ObamaCare’s Employer Mandate Until 2015. “The Obama administration will delay a crucial provision of its signature health-care law, giving businesses an extra year to comply with a requirement that they provide their workers with insurance. The government will postpone enforcement of the so-called employer mandate until 2015, after the congressional elections, the administration said yesterday. Under the provision, companies with 50 or more workers face a fine of as much as $3,000 per employee if they don’t offer affordable insurance.” (Mike Dorning and Alex Wayne, “Health-Law Employer Mandate Delayed by U.S. Until 2015,” Bloomberg, 7/3/13)
