7 more phony fundraising emails from Martha Robertson #ny23
In case you missed it, Democratic Congressional Candidate Martha Robertson (NY-23) recently sent out a ridiculous fundraising email accusing unnamed GOP ops of trying to shut down her website ahead of a fundraising deadline. Obviously Robertson made the whole thing up to try and get a few unsuspecting supporters to donate to her campaign. Given how ridiculous Robertson’s email accusation was, we’ve come up with 7 more fundraising pitches we can expect to see from Martha.
1. “The Cobra Kai is bullying my campaign workers . . . help me fight back. Donate $30 today and help us reach our October goal.”
2. “Martha is stranded in a foreign country with Nicholas Brody . . . she needs $4,190 to get back to America.”
3. “A rogue staffer bet all our campaign money on the 0-5 Jacksonville Jaguars to win the Super Bowl . . . so we’re gonna need to raise $200,000 by midnight.”
4. “We are going to hire the zombies from The Walking Dead to go door-to-door . . . but zombies don’t work for free and we’re $978 short of our goal.”
5. “Pirates stole my campaign chest, but if I can raise $5,457 by midnight tonight, the Goonies will get it all back.”
6. “I have bad news . . . Miley Cyrus was going to perform at our rally, but we are $6,530 short of the required amount to insure her against twerking injuries. Can you help?”
7. “House Republicans have sent Gremlins to my headquarters to eat all my lawn signs. We are going to need $2,392 to replace them. Show them we mean businesses.”
