“I received a letter from Anthem Blue Cross advising my current plan will no longer be available as of January 1, 2014. I went to the government’s health insurance website. I painstakingly entered the required information and the coverage provided will cost me more out of pocket. The monthly cost is about the same, but the doctor visit co-pay and prescription costs are significantly higher. I think in our case it is cheaper to have no insurance and pay cash for services.”
