Donation to U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer could be your ticket to NCAA title game

To help his campaign war chest grow, U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer, D-Battle Creek, has an offer for basketball fans. If you donate by the end of the month you could win two tickets to sit next to Schauer and his wife at the NCAA national championship game at Detroit’s Ford Field on April 6…

… National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Paul Lindsay said, “The clock is running out on Mark Schauer’s time in Washington, and it’s clear that he knows it. Schauer’s continued support for wasteful spending on the backs of hard-working taxpayers increases the chance for a turnover in this district come 2010.”

According to Schauer’s letter, to qualify, the donation can be any amount, as long as it comes in before midnight Tuesday.
