Greg Ball wants to take on Hall
May 7, 2009
Assemblyman Greg Ball (R, C, I, Patterson) announced his plans to run for Congress during a visit to Kennedy Catholic High School last week.
While his campaign doesn’t officially kick off until Saturday, Ball spent close to an hour last Thursday answering questions ranging from his stance on illegal immigration to Homeland Security for the greater Westchester area.
The 19th Congressional District covers Putnam and parts of Dutchess, Orange, Rockland and Westchester Counties.
Ball, who represents the 99th Assembly District, said he wanted to make his candidacy announcement in Westchester County because he wants to make a point.
“We’ll make the [official] announcement in Yorktown on Saturday for a reason,” he said. “Many write Westchester off and I want to make it clear that I intend to do well there [in the election] and I intend to win Westchester County.”
