Hoyer Defends Symbolic Move on Ethics Probe of Democrats

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer defended a Wednesday effort in the House to urge the ethics committee to take action regarding an ongoing federal investigation into a defunct lobbying firm and at least one senior House Democrat. ”
I think it’s adequate if the ethics committee acts, which I have every confidence they will,” Hoyer told reporters today at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor. “We’ll see in 45 days.”
