NRCC calling voters ahead of Pelosi visit

The National Republican Congressional Committee says Iowa voters will face a “liberal agenda” during an upcoming visit by U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

The committee said in automated telephone calls to voters in three Iowa districts that the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives will promote her “National Energy Tax” while visiting Iowa this weekend, The Hill reported Friday.

“Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is coming to Des Moines to push her liberal agenda,” the NRCC said in the calls. “Pelosi plans to headline a fundraiser on Saturday with Congressman Boswell to push her ‘National Energy Tax,’ which experts say will raise energy costs and devastate Iowa communities and farms.”

The NRCC phone calls target voters in the Iowa districts represented by U.S Reps. Leonard Boswell, Bruce Braley and David Loebsack. All three representatives are Democrats like Pelosi….
