NRCC Launches New Web Ad: “Government Run Healthcare Just Beyond Your Fingertips”

Democrats Bypass Standard Procedure While They Engage in Shady Closed-Door Meetings

Washington- A newly released web ad from the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) takes aim at House Democrats for their blatant disregard of the transparency they once promised. Over the past couple of days Democrats have held closed-door healthcare negotiations, shutting the door to the public and Republican leadership. By refusing to televise these backroom negotiations, Democrats have opened themselves up to national criticism and serious questions surrounding the outcome of these shady closed-door deals.

“The only thing transparent about Democrats’ shady backroom negotiations is their utter disregard for the intelligence of American voters,” said NRCC Communications Director Ken Spain. “President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and their loyal legions of Democrats repeatedly promised to keep congressional dealings open to the watchful eye of the American public. Instead, they are hiding behind closed doors while they cut sweetheart deals in order to sneak this bill through Congress while no one is looking.”
