Murphy Is Still Reading
From TimesUnion.com: “Democratic leaders scrambled Thursday to lock up enough votes to pass a sweeping overhaul of the nation’s health care, but one of their prime targets — Rep. Scott Murphy — remains undecided. While opponents of the measure were angrily rallying outside Murphy’s Clifton Park office on Thursday, the first-term lawmaker from Glens Falls was busy in Washington, poring over the 2,309-page bill that represents the final piece of the Democrats’ two-prong health care package. Murphy has said he will only make up his mind after thoroughly studying the proposal, making him one of a shrinking number of undecided Democrats on Capitol Hill. ‘I am now in the process of reviewing it,’ Murphy said, ‘and will determine if it goes far enough to fix the broken incentives in our health care system.’” By Code Red
