Massa to Face Investigation from House Ethics Panel

The House ethics committee has launched a formal investigation of sexual harassment allegations against Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.).

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), who chairs the ethics panel, and Rep. Jo Bonner (R-Ala.), its ranking member, announced an ongoing investigation into Massa’s activities Wednesday afternoon.

“The allegations surrounding former Representative Massa are serious and warrant a full and complete investigation,” Lofgren and Bonner said in a statement, noting that the committee vote to open a probe was unanimous.
