Visclosky Has Spent Almost $122,000 in Legal Fees This Year
Rep. Peter Visclosky spent nearly $122,000 on legal fees for himself and former aides in the first half of 2010, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.
The Indiana Democrat, who is a subject in a federal investigation into lawmakers’ ties to the defunct PMA Group lobbying firm, reported a payment of nearly $91,000 in April to the law firm Steptoe & Johnson, and another nearly $6,800 payment in May.
Visclosky earlier faced a related review by the Office of Congressional Ethics and the House ethics committee, which ended in February. He has paid Steptoe & Johnson more than $353,000 in the current cycle.
