NRCC Reveals First Look at Fall Strategy

August 17, 2010

The National Republican Congressional Committee is excited to announce the first wave of our fall game plan – one that’s heavy on offense. Where the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is pouring money into seats to defend their members who’ve cast votes for their party’s disastrous agenda, the NRCC will be working to make sure their real record of these Pelosi Puppets reaches constituents.

As Politico writes, the NRCC reserved $22 million worth of TV advertising to use against a wide variety of Democrats – both long-term and freshmen incumbents. The airtime reservations in 40 districts signify a first step in the fall plan to take back the House, where the GOP needs to gain 39 seats in order to have a majority. The DCCC knows that they’re facing a tremendously uphill battle after years of pushing policy that Americans don’t want.

The following districts are part of the first wave:

AL-02 IN-02  NH-01  PA-11
AR-01  IN-08  NM-02  SC-05
CA-11  IN-09  NY-20  SD-AL
CO-04  KS-03  NY-24  TN-08
FL-02  KY-06  ND-AL TX-17
FL-08  MD-01  OH-01  TX-23
FL-24  MI-01  OH-15  VA-02
GA-08  MI-07  OH-16  VA-05
IL-10  MS-01  PA-03  WV-01
IL-11  NV-03  PA-07  WI-07

It’s clear that the House Republican Conference is going to make major gains this fall, and these television reservations are going to be one of the critical steps the NRCC takes in order to bring the GOP message to voters across America.
