Rangel’s Legal Bills Keep Growing

“Rep. Charlie Rangel’s pre-primary filings shows he paid more than $50,000 in a fresh round of legal fees, along with $10,000 to singer Dionne Warwick to serve as the replacement entertainment at his birthday fundraiser when Aretha Franklin was sidelined by an ankle injury. He raised about $239,000 during the period, spending more than he took in, but still having a sizable war chest. Among his notable donors was singer Carly Simon, of ‘You’re So Vain’ fame.”
