Hartzler named GOP ‘Young Gun’
(HARRISONVILLE, Mo.) The National Republican Congressional Committee Thursday announced Vicky Hartlzer’s induction to it’s new top group: the Young Guns.
In a written statement, NRCC Chairman Congressman Pete Sessions, Texas, praised Hartzler. “Vicky Hartzler has proven that she’s ready to take on incumbent Ike Skelton, an out-of-touch Democrat who has blindly supported his party’s failed agenda of job-killing policies and reckless spending,” said Sessions. Sessions praised the momentum behind Hartzler’s campaign, which has been said to be Ike Skelton’s “toughest” political fight. “As Democrats and their party bosses continue to force their big-government, big-spending policies onto the backs of hard-working families, Republicans like Vicky Hartzler will continue to present a clear alternative to a Democrat majority that unapologetically spends too much, borrows too much and taxes too much,” he said. “I’m very excited to be designated as a ‘Young Gun’ because it means our campaign has moved to the top tier of races in the country,” said Hartzler. “I appreciate this recognition by the NRCC and its financial support,” she said. “The resources from the NRCC will be valuable as we head down the stretch against Ike Skelton and highlight his anti-business, anti-agriculture, and anti-job votes with his support for liberal Speaker Nancy Pelosi 95 percent of the time.” Hartzler joins 74 other GOP candidates nation wide in her induction in the group. In order to qualify for ‘Young Guns,’ candidates must meet certain benchmarks set by the NRCC, including the development of grass-roots support, fundraising, and creating a media plan. |
