Duffy offers jobs plan
The Republican hoping to replace Congressman Dave Obey in the U.S. House is out with a jobs plan.
Former Ashland County District Attorney Sean Duffy says his plan focuses on two themes; removing uncertainty and restoring confidence. He says those will create a more competitive climate for businesses to expand and grow. Duffy’s proposal includes eliminating bailouts and not spending any more TARP money after October 3rd. He also supports extending the Bush-era tax cuts on all Americans, which are set to expire at the end of this year. In addition to those proposals, Duffy’s plan for restarting growth includes creating a simpler, fairer tax, reducing the federal corporate tax rate, and easing regulatory burdens. |
