Duffy makes a campaign stop
RHINELANDER – Less than a month away from November second’s mid-term elections, Sean Duffy takes time to tell people in the Northwoods how he wants to see America change.
The Republican Congressional Candidate spent the day in Rhinelander and had lunch with several local business owners.
He says there’s a lot of uncertainty in the marketplace and people are concerned about healthcare and the costs of hiring employees.
He says this means they aren’t reinvesting in their businesses or creating jobs.
Duffy says he wants America to be globally competitive by taking away uncertainty with healthcare and cap and trade, stop bailouts, control the budget and have effective tax rates for individuals and corporations.
Duffy says, “75% of our small businesses pay the individual tax rate. Those are going to go up January 1, 2011. And I think we have to ask the question, ‘Do we want our small businesses to pay that money to the Federal Government? Or do we want them to take that money and create a new job?’ I say, let’s create new jobs.”
Duffy is running against Democratic Candidate Julie Lassa.
