Going All In for November 2nd
Dear Friend,
Your government isn’t listening to you. You can help me change that by generously supporting our campaign to elect a new Republican Majority to Congress this fall.
From the “stimulus” that shipped jobs overseas to China instead of creating jobs here at home, to the national energy tax, to ObamaCare, to their support for a tax hike on small businesses…
…Democrats are ignoring the American people. On November 2nd we have a chance to turn things around. But we have to be willing work harder than ever before; we have to go all in.
To show how serious I am, I’m going all in too. For every dollar you contribute, House Republicans will match it – doubling your impact. If you contribute $25 it’ll be the same as $50. Contribute $100 and it’ll have the impact of $200 – and so on.
With only 25 days left to go, every dime you can spare will make a big impact in our effort to elect a Congress that will listen to you and fight for a smaller, more accountable government.
Today I gave a speech at a small business in my Ohio district where I talked about the failing policies of President Obama and Washington Democrats – and outlined a new way forward.
That new way forward is enshrined in the GOP “Pledge to America,” a governing agenda built by actually listening to voters. Our plan calls for cutting spending immediately back to pre-stimulus, pre-bailout levels. It calls for strict budget caps to keep things from getting out of control again.
It calls for repealing Obamacare and replacing it with common-sense reforms that will lower health care costs instead of killing jobs and driving our country into bankruptcy.
And there’s a plan to change Congress itself. We want to post all bills online at least three days before a vote, change House rules to make spending cuts easier and spending hikes harder, require every bill to cite the Constitution, and much, much more.
Last February, President Obama said we have deep philosophical differences and different visions for where we’d lead our country, but that’s okay. “That’s what elections are for,” he said.
On this he was absolutely right. So please make a generous contribution right now and help fuel our fight for a new Republican Majority that will create new jobs, cut spending, stop the tax hikes, repeal ObamaCare and start over, and reform the way Congress works. We can do it; we can stop their jobs-killing, debt-driven agenda. After all, “that’s what elections are for.”
Thank you again for all of your support!
Sincerely,
John Boehner
House Republican Leader
P.S. Republicans have a plan to help create new jobs, cut spending, stop the tax hikes, repeal ObamaCare and start over, and change the way Congress does business – but I need your help right away. Please make a generous contribution to the NRCC right now and send us into the final few weeks of this campaign with the resources we need to elect a new Republican Majority to Congressthat will stop the Democrats’ jobs-killing agenda and fight for a smaller, more accountable government. Thank you!
