Hinchey Tells Reporter to “Shut Up!,” Puts His Hands “Near His Throat Before Backing Off”
October 15, 2010
Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) ripped into a reporter outside a debate late Thursday, telling the scribe to “shut up!” as cameras rolled in the second taped confrontation between a New York candidate and a journalist in three weeks.
According to the reporter, Kingston Daily Freeman’s Bill Kemble, the long-serving congressman came at him after the cameras were off, resuming the argument, poking his finger in his chest and putting his hands near his throat before backing off.
