Tipton Speaks With Local Farmers
LOMA, Colo. — Politicians are nearly done trying to win over undecided voters. But today Scott Tipton made one last stop in the Grand Valley.
Instead of taking Halloween off, Tipton spent the day visiting with voters. He was at the Western Sope Cattlemen’s Livestock Auction in Loma touching base with supporters yet again.
Farmers, friends and voters listened to the candidate for congress talk about the national deficit, jobs and problems families are facing.
Tipton says if he is elected he will go to Washington and be what he calls fiscally responsible. For him that includes limited taxes and government.
“We’re standing up not for bigger government, but for the moms and dads who are trying to make that mortgage. Filling those blank spots on Main Street, creating opportunities for businesses to start again and getting people back to work,” Tipton said.
Tipton and his opponent democrat John Salazar ran against each other previously in 2006. The republican says our state is due for a change.
