Sessions Statement on NRCC Chairman Re-Election

Washington – National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX) today released the following statement regarding his re-election to serve as NRCC Chairman for the 112th Congress:

“Victory brings a new set of opportunities and goals, and I am honored to receive the support of my Republican colleagues to continue serving as NRCC Chairman. My mission now is to build on success, and I am ready to sell the fight for a lasting and productive Republican Majority.

“The new Republican Majority comes with a proven will to win and vision to lead. With the strong support of each Republican Member, I will work tirelessly to channel our strengths for new victories in retention, redistricting, recruitment and resources. To ensure that Republicans are well-positioned for victory in 2012, I will focus on building our Party across the nation, working with Members, governors and candidates to advance the infrastructure and message to win. And I am very proud that over 80 new Republican members will play a pivotal role in ensuring that we listen to the American people and stay on offense to promote an agenda for American prosperity.

“I am deeply grateful to my Republican colleagues and the entire NRCC staff for their invaluable support and hard work these past two years, and I look forward to working together to strengthen our gains and ensure that America’s best days lie in our future.”
