Sessions Taps Shields, Drucker and Lindsay for Top Posts
“I’m excited that we will be building off of our successful 2010 election effort by filling these positions with three very talented professionals who have deep roots at the NRCC,” said Chairman Sessions. “Mike, Jenny, and Paul worked tremendously hard to build a Republican majority and their expertise will help to ensure that we earn continued success in 2012.” Shields is a veteran of the NRCC, having worked as Research Director during the 2004 cycle and heading the committee’s Independent Expenditure unit during the successful 2010 effort. Shields has extensive experience as a campaign professional and on Capitol Hill, where he served as Chief of Staff to Rep. Dave Reichert (R-WA) while guiding him through two hard-fought re-election bids. Shields has also previously held the position of Communications Director for the Republican Party of Virginia and was a spokesman for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA). Drucker has extensive experience at the NRCC, serving as Deputy Finance Director during the 2010 cycle as well as PAC Director during the 2006 cycle. She also held the position of PAC Director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee during the 2008 cycle and worked in Congressman Sessions’ office in various roles from 2000 to 2004. Her other campaign experience includes her time on the 2000 and 2004 Bush/Cheney campaigns, the 2004 Republican National Convention, and the 2001 and 2005 Presidential Inaugural Committees. Lindsay helped guide the NRCC’s successful 2010 communications effort as Deputy Communications Director. Prior to that, he served as a regional spokesman for the McCain presidential campaign in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Lindsay also served as Western Regional Press Secretary for the Republican National Committee. He is also a veteran of Capitol Hill, having worked as Press Secretary for Rep. Charles Boustany (R-LA). ###
