NRCC Announces Leadership Team for 2012
Vice Chairs Fill Variety of Committee Roles

Washington—National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX) and Deputy Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) announced eight Vice Chairs for the cycle today, giving each a specific role that will help drive the committee’s mission through 2012. Since the beginning of their tenure at the NRCC, Sessions and Walden have made it a priority to increase Member involvement in the committee.

“I am proud to announce my eight colleagues who will join NRCC leadership and help our team achieve another successful election cycle,” said Chairman Pete Sessions. “These Members bring to the committee different skill sets and experiences that will add to the strong team we’ve assembled. I commend our new NRCC leadership team as they support our fellow House Republicans to strengthen the Majority next election.”

Working alongside NRCC staff, the Vice Chairs will take a leading role in developing the committee’s strategy and goals for 2012. The following Members will serve as Vice Chair in the following capacities:

• Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-FL), Finance

• Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), Grassroots Development

• Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), Coalitions

• Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Regional

• Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), Recruitment

• Rep. John Shimkus (R- IL), Mentoring

• Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), Redistricting
