NRCC Video Highlights Washington Democrats’ Refusal to Rein in Spending
As Rest of the Country Cuts Back, Out-of-Touch DC Dems Continue to Call for More Spending

Washington—As the rest of the country continues to focus on living well within their means, the National Republican Congressional Committee today released a video highlighting how Democrats in Washington have done the exact opposite. Instead of leading by example, Democrats are following up on the trillions of dollars they added in debt by continuing their big-government spending spree. Voters have made it clear that they want a government that preaches and practices fiscal responsibility, not one that exhibits a dangerous tendency to spend recklessly.

“While state governments and middle-class families are doing whatever is necessary to tighten their belts and weather the current economic storm, out-of-touch Democrats in Washington are still spending at will on America’s future,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “Job creators are looking for Washington to end economic uncertainty by cutting spending, but thus far the only thing certain is that President Obama and Democrats in Congress are not serious about offering solutions.”
