NRCC Raises Over $10 Million for Annual March Dinner
Washington – National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX) announced today that the NRCC raised over $10 million for the annual March Dinner fundraiser, making this one of the most successful March Dinners the NRCC has held. The fundraiser, which will feature New Jersey Governor Chris Christie as the keynote speaker, will be held tonight at the National Building Museum. House Committee Chairmen Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), John Kline (R-MN) and Fred Upton (R-MI) served as co-chairs for the Dinner and contributed greatly toward exceeding the NRCC’s goal of raising $8 million.
“I’m proud to announce that we raised over $10 million for the NRCC March Dinner to strengthen the new Republican Majority in 2012. Ileana, John and Fred did an exceptional job in co-chairing this Dinner, and I am grateful for their vision, leadership and tireless work that helped us exceed our goal. This outstanding fundraising effort will enable the NRCC to stay on offense against House Democrats who continue to support the failed policies and leadership of Nancy Pelosi. As a Democrat-controlled Washington ignores voters’ rejection message, people across America are supporting the Republican fight to hold Democrats accountable and promote real job-creating solutions. The NRCC is committed to an aggressive campaign for building on our Republican gains and defeating Democrats’ Made-in-Washington agenda.”
