McIntyre Doesn’t Support ANY Budget Plan

April 21, 2011

Good Afternoon,

As the House of Representatives considered five budget proposals last week, Mike McIntyre didn’t support a single one of them. Worse, House Democrats failed to pass a budget last year, which means McIntyre has not voted for a budget for two straight years – the most basic duty of Congress.

Please consider the following comment from the NRCC as you cover Mike McIntyre’s failure to lead in Congress.

“Mike McIntyre has failed the most basic responsibility of governing by failing to even vote for a budget over the last two years, let alone see one passed. While North Carolina families are tightening their belts and living within their means during these tough economic times, McIntyre is unwilling to force his party in Washington to do the same, even in the face of record-setting deficits.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Andrea Bozek
