Chairman Sessions Statement on Congressman Rick Berg’s Announcement

Washington, DC –
National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX) released the following statement in response to the announcement that Congressman Rick Berg (R-ND) will run for U.S. Senate:

“Rick Berg is a proven leader, dedicated public servant, and conservative voice for North Dakota families and small businesses. As a strong advocate for pro-growth tax relief, Rick understands firsthand that smaller government frees North Dakota job-creators to invest, grow, and hire more workers. Rick’s leadership and skill have quickly emerged in Congress, but great talent is hard to keep. My colleagues and I will miss his friendship and service in the House of Representatives.

“Rick Berg has established a record of conservative principles and leadership in the House that can continue as North Dakotans elect a new Republican to Congress. I wish Rick, his wife Tracy, and their son Jack the best of luck as they seek to serve North Dakotans for years to come.”
