Does McIntyre Agree with Obama’s NLRB Policies that are Destroying Job Creation?
Democrats Continue to Ignore the Tragic Results of Their Policies Which Destroy Jobs Instead of Create Them

Washington — In his press conference Wednesday, President Obama joined North Carolina Democrat Mike McIntyre in refusing to weigh in on one of the most prominent recent examples of how the Democrats’ regulatory spree has directly blocked the precious job creation needed in this bad economy. In this case, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is currently preventing Boeing from opening a new manufacturing plant in South Carolina, stalling the creation of thousands of jobs that are already a rare commodity in this economy. Is McIntyre willing to tell his North Carolina constituents that these Democrat policies are worth their job-destroying price?

“Mike McIntyre’s Democrat leaders continue to merely provide lip-service on job creation while their policies directly stifle what little job creation is occurring in a bad economy,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “If McIntyre is serious about fostering the greatly needed economic recovery for his North Carolina constituents, he can start by working to halt the Democrat policies that destroy jobs instead of create them.”

In his press conference Wednesday, President Obama refused to address an embarrassing mark on the Democrats’ record:

“During his press conference, President Obama just dodged a question about whether the suit filed by the National Labor Relations Board against Boeing was contributing to a bad regulatory environment that was hurting businesses.

“The complaint against Boeing for building a nonunion factory in South Carolina was filed by Obama’s appointed (but unconfirmed) pick for general counsel, Lafe Solomon, but Obama hasn’t directly addressed the suit.”

“Of course, if the NLRB suit is successful, it would mean in practice that Boeing would have to shut down its factory, costing thousands of jobs in South Carolina, and countless more nationwide due to the broader regulatory ramifications.” (Philip Klein, “Obama dodges question on NLRB’s Boeing suit,” The [Washington] Examiner‘s Beltway Confidential Blog, 6/29/11)

These policies have been widely criticized because they are directly blocking a thousand jobs from being created:

“The agency wants a judge to order Boeing to return all 787 assembly work to Washington, even though the company has already built a new $750 million South Carolina plant and hired 1,000 new workers there.” (Sam Hananel, “Boeing-NLRB labor dispute turns into headache for Obama,” The Associated Press, 6/29/11)

President Obama was unwilling to address some of the most flagrant examples of how their Democrat policies actively destroy jobs and make a bad economy worse. Perhaps Mike McIntyre is willing to weigh in on whether he supports these job-crushing Democrat policies instead.
