President Obama & Aides Blame Congressional Democrats for Excess Spending & Borrowing from Countries Like China
Washington — President Obama and many of his top advisors are now leveling blame at Kurt Schrader and his fellow Congressional Democrats for running up the country’s credit card and placing the country on the path to fiscal ruin. Now that the Obama Administration is even blaming Schrader and his Democrat colleagues, he will have to further explain his spending spree that continues to borrow four billion dollars a day and is leaving future generations in Oregon indebted to foreign countries like China.
“With President Obama now pointing the finger at Kurt Schrader and his colleagues for their reckless spending and borrowing spree, it’s obvious that Democrats are in a state of disarray as they go to great lengths to avoid defending their disastrous record in Congress,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “The reality is that Obama and Schrader have both contributed to the debt crisis America faces. Schrader’s addiction to spending money we don’t have has made a bad economy worse and left future generations indebted to foreign countries like China, but he has yet to explain what benefits Oregon families have received after paying the price for his failed policies.”
President Obama blamed the Democrats in Congress for the record debt levels the country faces today:
President Obama’s Communications Director and Chief of Staff both agreed:
“See, I’ve heard this argument, I’ve heard you raise it with the President yesterday. It’s sort of an irrelevant question because what we have here is the fact — is that Congress has run up a significant number of bills on the Congressional credit card. Those bills come due in August and we have to pay them.” (Dan Pfeiffer, MSNBC’s “The Daily Rundown,” 6/30/11)
“After all, Daley said, it was Congress that ‘passed all the legislation that created the deficit that we are in and they must solve this problem and the president is, has been and continues to be the force of trying to bring people together.'” (George Stephanopoulos, “White House Chief of Staff on Debt Ceiling: No Veto Threat But GOP Can’t Worry About ‘Feelings,'” ABC News’ George’s Bottom Line Blog, 6/30/11)
Even Obama and his Administration are now blaming Kurt Schrader and his fellow House Democrats for the crushing amounts of debt their spending addiction has left us with. Schrader and his Democrat colleagues now find themselves in an increasingly difficult position as their failed policies continue to spend and borrow more money we don’t have.
