Chairman Sessions Statement on June Unemployment Report

Washington, DC – National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX) today issued the following statement in response to the Department of Labor’s June unemployment report:

“Another disappointing jobs report sends the undeniable message that our economy is still not creating enough jobs. Unlike Washington Democrats, Americans understand that no amount of debt-driven spending sprees and government growth will deliver our nation from chronic unemployment. Democrats have made a bad economy worse with more taxes, more regulation, and deficit spending that are driving uncertainty in the marketplace. Adding to their assault on job creators and the free enterprise system, Democrats continue to demand more job-destroying tax hikes. The American people are calling for a government that spends less – not taxes more – and House Republicans will continue that fight on behalf of job-creators across America.”
