McIntyre’s Job-Destroying Democrat Policies Leave American Workers Behind
Vice President Biden Visits China, Highlighting Washington Democrats’ Record of Stifling American Job Creation

Washington — Vice President Joe Biden today will be reaching out to the Chinese government to assure them the Democrats’ spending spree is manageable, even though Mike McIntyre and his Washington colleagues continue to defend it. However, Biden’s trip will certainly be overshadowed by the fact that McIntyre’s same policies of spending, borrowing, taxing and over-regulating have increasingly put American workers at a disadvantage to foreign countries like China.

“Vice President Biden’s visit to China today to explain the Democrats’ spending and borrowing spree only reminds everyone that Mike McIntyre has championed these very same policies,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “McIntyre and his fellow Washington Democrats continue to push for more taxes, spending, borrowing and over-regulation, which stifle job creation efforts while American workers fall farther behind China and the rest of the world.”

Vice President Biden will be visiting China today in an attempt to convince the government that American debt is under control in the wake of the Democrats’ years of spending and borrowing to fuel their big-government policies:

“Concerns about the U.S. economy and the country’s ability to manage its debt and deficits loom over Vice President Joe Biden’s trip this week to China, America’s biggest foreign creditor.”

“Aides say Biden will tell Chinese leaders that the U.S. is committed to tackling its fiscal challenges, and will emphasize aspects of the recent deal to increase the U.S. debt ceiling that the administration believes are good first steps toward long-term deficit reduction.” (Julie Pace, “US economic woes loom over Biden’s China trip,” Associated Press, 8/15/11)

This visit is mired in the fact that the American economy continues to fall farther behind China and the rest of the world in the wake of the Democrats’ job-destroying policies:

“The goods deficit with China increased to $26.7 billion in June, a cause for concern for the Alliance for American Manufacturing as China continues to gain ground on American industry. ‘A rising trade deficit is not the prescription for job creation in America,’ said Scott Paul, the group’s executive director. ‘The June trade deficit exceeded virtually every estimate and is further proof that our economy is falling behind.'” (Josh Boak, “Trade deficit widens as China gains,” Politico, 8/11/11)

Vice President Biden’s visit to China today will merely emphasize the fact that Mike McIntyre and his fellow Washington Democrats have championed anti-growth policies which have let North Carolina workers fall farther behind the rest of the world. As McIntyre and his Democrat leaders continue to spend, borrow, tax and over-regulate, it seems the new normal will be making excuses to the foreign countries we borrow money from as they continue to create jobs that Americans once held.
