Americans Blame McIntyre’s Failed Policies for Economic Blight
New Poll Shows Americans Will Hold Washington Democrats Accountable for Their Job-Destroying Policies

Washington — A new Gallup poll now shows that the majority of Americans disapprove of the failed economic policies that President Obama and his Congressional allies like North Carolina Democrat Mike McIntyre have championed in Washington. President Obama and his loyal Democrat colleagues like McIntyre pushed their spending and taxing sprees that made the bad economy worse, and now voters are recognizing the damage they have done.

“Mike McIntyre has been a loyal ally to President Obama’s policies of taxing, spending and over-regulating which have made a bad economy far worse,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “Voters are noticing across the country, which means that McIntyre’s constituents in North Carolina will surely hold him accountable for continuing to support Obama’s same failed Democrat policies that will continue to destroy jobs and stifle economic growth.”

Now most Americans (53 percent), including a large majority of independents (60 percent), blame President Obama’s Democrat policies for the bad economy:

“A slight majority of Americans for the first time blame President Obama either a great deal (24%) or a moderate amount (29%) for the nation’s economic problems.” (Lydia Saad, “In U.S., Slight Majority Now Blame Obama for U.S. Economy,” Gallup, 9/21/11)

And Americans continue to grow more pessimistic about the economy despite the efforts of Washington Democrats to promote more of their same policies:

“Eight of 10 say the economy is in a recession, and nearly as many say it hasn’t improved over the past year. Even more ominous: Six in 10 predict the economy a year from now will be the same or worse than today, a downturn from the public’s views last year and the year before.” (Susan Page, “Poll: Economic pessimism deepens, and more blame Obama,” USA Today, 9/21/11)

Americans now recognize that President Obama and his Democrat allies like Mike McIntyre are actively making a bad economy worse. Since Obama and McIntyre are only offering more of their same failed policies in response to the worsening economy, McIntyre’s constituents in North Carolina will certainly hold them accountable for their failed leadership in Washington.
