DNC Chair Accidentally Uses the S-Word to Describe Obama’s New “Stimulus” as Her Party Doubles Down on the First One

  • DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz committed yet another gaffe this weekend, but this time her mistake was telling the truth. Wasserman Schultz told Iowans that the president is pushing for “another round of stimulus,” using the much-maligned s-word tainted by failure.
  • This must have alarmed White House officials and House Democrats who have twisted themselves into knots trying to avoid rehashing memories of their first failed “stimulus” even as they press for more of the same.
  • Wasserman Schultz can’t seem to do anything right. Earlier this year, the Democrat party leader got into trouble for outrageous and absurd claims that were called out by political fact-checkers. And now she’s in trouble with her own party for telling the truth.

BACKGROUND 

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz committed yet another gaffe this weekend, but this time her mistake was telling the truth. Wasserman Schultz told Iowans that the president is pushing for “another round of stimulus,” using the much-maligned s-word tainted by failure:

OBAMA’S “NEW AND IMPROVED” JOB PLAN “COULD AMOUNT TO A SIGNIFICANT STIMULUS OF BETWEEN $300 BILLION AND $400 BILLION… BUT [OBAMA] WON’T USE THE WORD”: “So the president’s new and improved plan is likely to consist of a set of what he hopes will be seen as moderate, common-sense assists to the economy. Wasserman Schultz can’t seem to do anything right. Earlier this year, the Democrat party leader got into trouble for outrageous and absurd claims that were called out by political fact-checkers. And now she’s in trouble with her own party for telling the truth:
