More Americans Pessimistic about Future of their Finances Thanks to Dems’ Dismal Job on the Economy
According to a Recent Gallup Poll, More Adults Rate their Finances as “Poor” as they Cope with Economic Uncertainty DC DEMOCRATS STILL DON’T GET IT: In an interview with Jake Tapper yesterday, President Obama claimed that he and his fellow Democrats have made the “right” choices when dealing with the economy: “All the choices we’ve made have been the right ones.” – President Obama (Interview with President Barack Obama, ABC News, 10/18/2011)
MADE IN WASHINGTON, DC: However, according to a Gallup poll, the American people disagree. More Americans are struggling to make ends meet and believe that their financial situation is getting worse under Obama’s failed policies: “Americans are also less hopeful about their future personal financial situations. Nearly half (48%) say their personal financial situation is ‘getting worse,’ up from 41% in April and nearly tying the record-high 49% who said so in April 2008. A new low of 29% say their personal financial situation is getting better.
“When asked about the most important financial problem facing their family, similarly high numbers name lack of money/low wages (14%), too much debt (13%), high cost of living/inflation (13%), healthcare costs (12%), and unemployment/loss of job (10%).” (Lymari Morales, “Americans Grow More Negative About Their Personal Finances,” Gallup, 10/19/2011) ###
