New NRCC Targeted Calls: Jason Altmire Paves Way for Tax Increase on Pennsylvania Families
Altmire’s Business as Usual Approach in Washington Hits Pockets of Middle-Class

Washington — The National Republican Congressional Committee announced today a series of targeted phone calls to Pennsylvanians slamming Jason Altmire for playing political games with their hard-earned paychecks. This week, Altmire voted to pave the way for increased taxes and condemning Pennsylvania families to more economic hardships as they continue to carry the weight of his irresponsible Washington agenda.

“Altmire is acting like a true Washington Democrat, kicking the can down the road instead of supporting a concrete plan that would move the economy in the right direction,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “Pennsylvanians want and deserve the kind of security that will spark an environment for growth, but if Jason Altmire gets his way, all they would get is a tax hike.”

The script is as follows:

Hello, I’m calling from the National Republican Congressional Committee, 320 First Street, SE, Washington, DC 20003, 202.479.7000 with an important recorded alert about your Congressman. If you’re as fed up with Congress as everyone else is, wait til you hear what your Congressman Jason Altmire did. Not only did Altmire vote last week pave the way for a tax increase for you and every other American middle class family, but he is now stubbornly standing by his position that could raise your taxes by over a thousand dollars starting on January 1st. Even House Republicans and President Obama agree that we should find an immediate long-term solution for middle class Americans. Why doesn’t Jason Altmire want to give American families the same stability over the holidays? Call Jason Altmire at 202-225-2565. Ask him to stop being the typical Washington politician and for once, try to work in a bipartisan manner to help lower taxes for middle class families struggling with a harsh economy. Paid for by the National Republican Congressional Committee. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
