NRCC Website: Dems Forced to Remember Their False Promises About Government Healthcare Takeover
Congressional Democrats Held Accountable for Refusing to Protect the Needs of American Families and Job Creators

Washington — Today the NRCC draws attention to the one year anniversary of Democrats’ blocking the repeal of their big-government healthcare takeover with the website www.TextsFromLastCongress.com. The site is a compilation of claims made by Congressional Democrats that showcase how their destructive policies have condemned American families to financial uncertainty.

“One year ago, House Democrats protected their government healthcare takeover and accepted the massive costs and regulations that have saddled America’s job creators since its inception,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “These House Democrats may very wake up with a political hangover after voters hold them accountable for this vote on Election Day, but until then this site is a helpful reminder of their questionable support for a bill as flawed and unpopular as ObamaCare.”

Democrat policies have, in fact, crippled states’ ability to rebuild their economies as they will be forced to spend more on new healthcare costs once Obama’s government takeover of healthcare takes effect:

“Officials say the fiscal pressure that Medicaid puts on states is expected to increase when the federal health-care overhaul takes effect in 2014.

“The fiscal pressure on states has become a drag on the job market; local and state governments are shedding jobs, even though the private-sector job market has shown signs of improvement.” (Michael A. Flethcer, “States face bleak economic forecast, report says,” The Washington Post, 11/29/2011)

Is there a limit to how far Democrats are willing to go to crush economic recovery and job growth?
