Democrats Cling to Their Increasingly Unpopular Government Takeover of Healthcare
New Polls Show Swing State Voters and Independents are Especially Dissatisfied with the Democrat Policy that is Limiting Choices and Leading to Higher Costs

House Democrats And Their Washington Colleagues Are Embracing Their Government Takeover Of Healthcare More Than Ever In 2012:

“Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, who participated in a separate panel on messaging today, said he encouraged Members to ‘stand and defend what you’ve done, because you can’t run away from them.’

“‘We learned that in 2010. All the Blue Dog Democrats who voted for the health care bill and tried to act like it never happened learned you can’t run away from it,’ Rendell told reporters …” (Jessica Brady, “At Retreat, Democrats Urged to Defend Past Record,” Roll Call, 1/26/12)

But New Polls Show Voters Are Increasingly Dissatisfied With The Law’s Massive Government Intrusion Into Their Lives:

“The health care overhaul that President Obama intended to be the signature achievement of his first term instead has become a significant problem in his bid for a second one, uniting Republicans in opposition and eroding his standing among independents.

“In a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll of the nation’s dozen top battleground states, a clear majority of registered voters call the bill’s passage ‘a bad thing’ and support its repeal if a Republican wins the White House in November. Two years after he signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act— and as the Supreme Court prepares to hear arguments about its constitutionality next month — the president has failed to convince most Americans that it was the right thing to do.” (Susan Page, “Swing states poll: Health care law hurts Obama in 2012,” USA Today, 2/27/12)
