Medicare Cuts from Government Takeover of Healthcare Starting to Cost Seniors
New Report Shows $200 Billion in Cuts Under ObamaCare Could Strongly Hurt Benefits for Seniors in States Which Rely Heavily on Medicare Advantage

Democrat Leaders Claim Their Unpopular Government Healthcare Takeover Will Only Get More Popular As Time Goes On:

“But I think there’s very, very strong support in the Democratic Party, and I believe that citizens are coming to that more and more as they see the benefits of that accruing to seniors in terms of their prescription-drug bill being reduced.” (Jessica Brady, “Democrats Willing to Tinker With Health Care Law,” Roll Call, 3/7/12)

But Seniors Relying On Medicare Advantage Benefits Could Find Their Benefits At Risk After $200 Billion In Cuts Under ObamaCare Kick In Through 2017:

“Seniors in a number of states risk losing their Medicare Advantage benefits because of cuts in President Obama’s healthcare reform law, according to a new report from Avalere. The law contains about $200 billion in direct and indirect cuts to private Medicare plans through 2017. Their effect would be felt unevenly throughout the country, however, because the additional benefits and reduced cost-sharing offered by Medicare Advantage plans vary greatly by state.” (Julian Pecquet, “Report: Healthcare law cuts put Medicare Advantage benefits at risk in some states,” The Hill‘s Healthwatch Blog, 3/12/12)
