New ObamaCare Study: If You Like Your Health Plan…That’s Too Bad
Despite Democrat Promises, Their Government Takeover of Healthcare is Forcing Huge Numbers of Workers Out of Their Existing Health Plans

President Obama Promised That His Government Takeover Of Healthcare Would Let Working Americans Keep Their Existing Plans If They Wanted:

“During the health reform debate, President Obama made clear to Americans ‘if you like your health plan you can keep it.’ He emphasized that nothing in the health reform law would force businesses or consumers to change health plans or change their doctor.” (“Questions and Answers: Keeping the Health Plan You Have: The Affordable Care Act and “Grandfathered” Health Plans,” HealthReform.gov, Accessed 3/13/12)

But A New Survey Shows Employers Can’t Keep Up With The Big-Government Law’s Mandates And Less Than 30 Percent Were Able To Maintain Their Existing Healthcare Plans For Their Employees:

“Survey respondents indicate that into the second year of Health Care Reform implementation, less than 30% of employers were able to maintain grandfathered status of their health care plans. This rapid loss of grandfathered status far outpaces The Department of Health & Human Services’ expectations… The accelerated loss of grandfathered status suggests that employers have had to make many plan changes to offset cost increases, and perhaps employers have been more willing to give up grandfathered status in order to take other steps to control costs.” (“The Health Care Reform Survey 2011-2012,” Willis Human Capital Practice, 3/8/12)
