Chairman Sessions’ Statement on Utah’s Fourth Congressional District Convention Results

 National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Pete Sessions released the following statement on the UT-04 results from tonight’s Utah convention:

“I congratulate Mia Love on securing the Republican nomination to take on Jim Matheson. All the Republican candidates in this race ran principled and vigorous campaigns and should be commended for their hard work.

“Jim Matheson has changed and does not reflect the values of Utah families. He’s Obama’s biggest supporter in Utah, voted for his failed stimulus and opposes the repeal of ObamaCare. Mia’s dedication and experience enables her to advocate effectively for pro-growth policies and fight the failed status quo in Washington. This will stand in stark contrast to Matheson’s record of supporting Obama’s spending, borrowing and taxing that Utah families and small businesses know has failed.”
