Yet Another Report Against Matheson’s Healthcare Takeover
Report Reinforces Broken Promises Related to ObamaCare as Families Say #IwantRepeal

WASHINGTON — A new survey of health insurance agents is the most recent example of health professionals denouncing Jim Matheson’s healthcare takeover as the wrong medicine for struggling Utah families and small businesses. Why is Matheson consistently condoning the rising premiums of families’ healthcare and the diminishing choices that a patient has with their doctor?

“Once again, Jim Matheson’s big-government takeover of healthcare is shown to be a fatally-flawed law,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “As costs continue to rise for working families and access to care is denied, will Jim Matheson determine that now is the time to stand up for his constituents in Utah?”

The Kaiser Family Foundation released a new report underlining the fact that ObamaCare is bad news for the American people including these findings: costs continue to rise, not fall; choices are on the decline; fewer employers are seeking insurance. (“Survey of Health Insurance Agents,” Kaiser Family Foundation, 6/18/2012)

In 2009, however, President Obama stood in front of middle-class families and alleged that his party’s takeover of healthcare was in their best interest:

“And that means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.” (Mary Lu Carnavale, “Obama: ‘If You Like Your Doctor, You Can Keep Your Doctor’,” The Wall Street Journal, 6/15/2009)
