Brendan Mullen running a Washington-based candidacy

I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss Washington insider Brendan Mullen on WSBT radio this morning trying to side-step the fact that he is running a Washington-based candidacy. Not only do Mullen and his family own three homes in Washington that they received special tax breaks on, but 60% of his financial backers live outside Indiana.

HOST: “It has been a while since we have talked. There has been some talk in political circles that you have been largely unseen and some have said unavailable in the district. There was a recent Republican party ad that hit the fact that you don’t live in the district… if you win this district will you move your family into the district?” (WSBT, 2/1/2012)

Fundraising Facts:

• 91% of the money Jackie raised in the fourth quarter came from Indiana.
• About 60% of the money Mullen raised in the fourth quarter came from outside Indiana, more than half of these are from the Washington area.
