’10 nominee/businessman Matt Doheny (R) raised $306K in the 4thQ and entered ’12 with $316K CoH, according to his Federal Elections Commission filing. That’s a strong start for a challenger in upstate NY. Rep. Bill Owens (D) has not released his 4thQ fundraising numbers yet. Owens had $393K CoH at the end of the 3rdQ.

Doheny is carrying over $2.2M in debt from his previous campaign, but those 4thQ numbers are a great beginning, especially considering that NY’s redistricting has not yet happened (Hotline reporting, 1/26).
