Shea-Porter super PAC friends attack on her behalf

Question: What is Carol Shea-Porter’s credo?

This weekend we saw Carol Shea-Porter’s activist cronies from the left-wing fringe super PAC CREDO stage a faux protest in Rye, attacking on her behalf. Back in January Shea-Porter was vocally opposed to super PACs even penning an op-ed about their negative influence. In her piece she asked rhetorically how to stop Super PACs writing, “Is there anything we can do to stop it in the general election this year?”

Well, one certain step would be to ask them not to get involved on your behalf… but four months later she still won’t do that.

As you cover Carol Shea-Porter’s continuing hypocrisy when it comes to super PACs, please consider the following quote:

NRCC Comment: “If Carol Shea-Porter wants Granite State voters to believe her when she speaks, she should follow her own advice, and call on her activist cronies at the super PAC CREDO to end their faux protests and baseless attacks. Shea-Porter’s credo may be do as I say, not as I do – but New Hampshire voters don’t want a representative who says one thing, then does another.” – NRCC Spokesman Nat Sillin

“Protesters stood at the end of the street holding signs assailing Guinta…The protesters were from the CREDO SuperPAC, a group aiming to ensure Guinta is not re-elected to Congress.” (Joey Cresta, “GOP: Real change coming,” Seacoastonline.com, 5/7/2012)

“A new liberal super-PAC called Credo has announced its first six targets of the 2012 campaign. . . . [including] Frank Guinta (N.H.).” (Cameron Joseph, “Liberal Super-PAC Picks Its First Six House Targets,” The Hill, 1/30/2012)

“Democrats have now answered with some Super PACs of their own. What we saw in 2010 was just a teaser to what we will endure this year. Super PACs and their very wealthy donors are drowning out the voices of the small-dollar donors. . . . Is there anything we can do to stop it in the general election this year?” (Carol Shea-Porter, “Super PAC Alert,” Merrimack Patch, 1/26/2012)
