Tierney "Knew Everything"

Reports are surfacing in Massachusetts that John Tierney’s brother-in-law rolled him today following his sentencing in federal court. Apparently, Daniel Eremian told reporters “TIERNEY KNEW EVERYTHING.”

The NRCC has been keeping Tierney’s refusal to talk in the spotlight for months. As you cover this latest chapter, consider the following quote:

NRCC Comment: “The truth always comes out. It’s time for John Tierney to face his constituents and finally admit what he knew and when he knew it.” – NRCC Spokesman Nat Sillin

EREMIAN LASHES OUT AT TIERNEY: “to throw my sister under the bus for his career was wrong and I have told her that.”

FLASHBACK:

The sentencing of John Tierney’s brother in-law has been delayed until June, as attorneys work a dispute over the proposed $30 million asset forfeiture.

In case you missed it there was no shortage of coverage on the NRCC’s new campaign and website to hold Tierney accountable for his self-proclaimed cluelessness. See the stories:

TALK ABOUT THIS AT BRUNCH:

Tierney’s reaction only perpetuates the growing ethical cloud surrounding him. Rather than face voters and respond directly, he refused interviews, hid behind a spokesperson and tried to attack his opponent with tone deaf rhetoric. Here and here. As the pressure mounts and voters demand answers, will this strategy continue?

REMEMBER THIS:

“If John Tierney is so clueless as to what’s going on in his family, what else is going on that he’s clueless about?” – NRCC Spokesman Nat Sillin
