Sal Pace Backs Obamacare
Sal Pace Backs Obamacare
Umm… Either Sal Pace is having a memory lapse – or he’s trying desperately to deceive Colorado voters about his support for ObamaCare.
Late last week, the Craig Daily Press reported: “Pace wouldn’t speculate as to whether or not he would have supported Obamacare as one of Colorado’s Congressional representatives.”
Say what?
Let’s go back in time and look at the record:
· In 2009, Sal Pace signed a petition urging Congress to pass government health care:
“As leaders in state legislatures across the country, we urgently call on President Obama and the U.S. Congress to take up and pass comprehensive health care reform in 2009.”
· In 2010, Pace voted to kill legislation that would oppose the enactment of Obamacare and fully support the attorney general in his challenging the constitutionality of Obamacare.
· In 2011, Pace again said he wanted ObamaCare to stay on the books:
“The Affordable Care Act is only just beginning to be implemented in Colorado. The wisest decision we can make as a state is to give the act a chance to work here before we try to dismantle it.”
“Sorry, Sal. When Coloradans needed you most, you turned your back on them and supported ObamaCare. Not even Doc Brown from Back to the Future can help you undue the past now.” – NRCC Spokesman Daniel Scarpinato
