Wanted to make sure you saw that the NRCC is up with three news ads in California this week, holding Democrats – Lois Capps, John Garamendi and Jerry McNerney – accountable for supporting ObamaCare. If you haven’t had a chance to see the ads yet, I think you’ll really like them.

Using smartphones as its inspiration, the National Republican Congressional Committee will launch a new TV advertising campaign Tuesday with this message: "Repeal Capps.” The advertisement is designed to reflect the reaction of California voters, who will be forced to pay huge tax hikes as a result of Obamacare, which is supported by Rep. Lois Capps, D-Santa Barbara, said Daniel Scarpinato, NRCC’s western regional press secretary. http://www.newspress.com/Top/Article/article.jsp?Section=LOCAL&ID=566451602408472618

Sacramento Bee: Supreme Court health care ruling provides fodder for California congressional racesBy David Siders & Torey Van OotSaturday, Jun. 30, 2012The ads, paid for by the National Republican Congressional Committee and prepared within a day of the Supreme Court’s health care ruling, are the first evidence of a campaign to capitalize on the decision in competitive congressional races in California. Though the advertising buy is relatively modest – $43,000 for ads attacking Garamendi, D-Walnut Grove, and Reps. Jerry McNerney and Lois Capps, according to the RNCC – it highlights a belief among Republicans that the court’s upholding of the health care law could arouse conservatives who fiercely protested its passage in 2010. http://www.sacbee.com/2012/06/30/4601211/supreme-court-health-care-ruling.html
