Cheri Tales Chapter 13: Bankrupting Middle Class Families

July 29, 2012

Welcome to Chapter 13 of Cheri Tales. As you know, Cheri Tales is a collection of stories and fables about a desperate politician who will say and do anything to get elected. This troubling tale focuses on Cheri Bustos, a Democrat candidate running in IL-17 and her myths about protecting middle class families.

“My parents taught me if it weren’t for labor and the Democratic Party, there wouldn’t be a middle class,” she said. (Quad City Times, 7/20/12)

So let’s look at Cheri Bustos’ idea of helping middle class families. Cheri Bustos supports ObamaCare and actually told Illinois families to “move on” after the Supreme Court ruling. Since Cheri wants to defend middle class families let’s look at what ObamaCare does for them:

• The price tag of the ObamaCare has already doubled – That doesn’t help middle class families.
• Healthcare premiums are going up – That doesn’t help middle class families.
• Americans are losing the insurance they have and like – That doesn’t help middle class families.
• Taxes are being raised by over one-half trillion dollars, and 12 of the 21 new taxes in the law will hit the middle class – That definitely doesn’t help middle class families.

We already know as a city alderman, Cheri Bustos went all Taxmageddon on her community but now she wants to take her efforts to bankrupt middle class families nationwide.

NRCC Statement:
“Cheri Bustos wants to impose a massive tax increase on middle class families while forcing the cost of healthcare to skyrocket. Is it clear to Illinois families that Cheri Bustos is a desperate politician who will say anything to become Nancy Pelosi’s rubber stamp.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Katie Prill
