Jerry McNerney: Trading Spaces

August recess is here, and that means Jerry McNerney is headed home… But the question remains: Where?

McNerney is the subject of a voter fraud complaint filed yesterday, following an investigation by the Stockton Record, which found:

“McNerney registered and voted in the primary election in Stockton, though his main residence appears to be in Pleasanton.”

The newspaper found that “McNerney doesn’t live in the Stockton home but does periodically visit it.”

“McNerney still claims a $7,000 homeowner’s exemption for his Pleasanton home,” the Record reported. “By law, only a homeowner’s primary residence qualifies for a homeowner’s exemption.”

With this controversy still unexplained, please consider the following quote in your coverage of McNerney’s game of “Trading Spaces”:

NRCC COMMENT: “This is just more evidence that Jerry McNerney is an out-of-touch, Bay Area politician. If McNerney is deceiving voters about where he lives, what else is he deceiving voters about?” – NRCC Spokesman Daniel Scarpinato
