Georgia Dem Trades Georgia’s Best Interests for Obama’s Support

WASHINGTON – Today, the National Republican Congressional Committee released a radio ad highlighting the consequences of the Obama-Barrow agenda on Georgia’s economy. By voting with President Obama 85 percent of the time, Barrow has protected a failed Washington agenda and worked to preserve his party’s out-of-control spending, costing Americans billions.

“Barrow has voted lock step with Obama’s agenda of reckless spending, tax hikes and healthcare overhauls,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “John Barrow is working hard in Washington to back President Obama’s policies that have devastated Georgia’s economy.”

Listen to the ad here. The script is as follows:

OBAMA: This is Barack Obama and I want to ask you to join me in supporting Congressman John Barrow for re-election.

ANNOUNCER 1: Obama sure campaigned hard for John Barrow.

ANNOUNCER 2: No surprise there. Barrow supported Obama’s agenda 85 percent of the time.

ANNOUNCER 1: John Barrow backed Obama’s agenda 85 percent of the time?

ANNOUNCER 2: That’s right. Barrow even backed Obama’s failed stimulus plan that cost us 800 billion dollars.

 ANNOUNCER 1: What about ObamaCare?

ANNOUNCER 2: John Barrow voted to keep ObamaCare’s massive tax increases too. Do you realize how much that is going to cost us?

ANNOUNCER 1: Sounds like John Barrow’s loyalty to Obama is really hurting Georgia.

ANNOUNCER 2: Its really hurting America. We can’t turn our county around as long as we have a Congressman like John Barrow who supported Obama’s agenda 85 percent of the time.

OBAMA: This is Barack Obama and I want to ask you to join me in supporting Congressman John Barrow…

ANNOUNCER 1: Ugh, turn that off.
