Polling Memo: Presidential Priorities
Fox News: Presidential Priorities
New bipartisan data from Fox News shows an overwhelming 83% of voters believe government spending is out of control. Perhaps an even bigger concern is voters’ apparent lack of any faith government will do or can do anything about it as three-quarters of voters say it’s not likely that “the federal deficit will get smaller” this year, with 49% saying it’s “not at all likely.”
And, while the media often credits this to the partisan gridlock in Washington, voters seem to think it could be a matter of Presidential priorities, as 54% say Obama is more interested in growing government than reducing the national debt.
